Sketchtember 2017: Daredevil

Flashback to last year: Here’s a collection of sketches completed for the 2017 September drawing challenge hosted by the guys at true believers comic festival. It features all things related to Marvel’s Daredevil. Great practice and a pretty enjoyable process; so much so, I partook this year too. I’ll post that shortly as well. Enjoy!

The Psychedelic Journal of the Wild West

Completed for the Psychedelic Journal of the Wild West a while back. I love a good cowboys movie, and as a result quite liked tackling this one.

Titled “The Masked Rider” by Matthew Allen. It’s the tale of a low-down bounty hunter on the trail of a masked rider. In hindsight there’s a few things I’d like to change (but isn’t there always?).

Completed using traditional blue pencils and then scanned into Photoshop for inking and colouring. I learned a fair bit from this and think on the whole it worked out pretty well. The second page is my favourite. The three frames mid page were very satisfying.

Getting there!
